To make more people could learn wine systematic, TANK Cellars introduces WSET Courses to wine lovers. In TANK Cellars, you could learn WSET Level 1 Award in Wines and WSET Level 2 Award in Wines.

WSET Level 1 Award in Wines

For individuals new to wine study, this qualification provides a hands-on introduction to the world of wine. You’ll explore the main types and styles of wine through sight, smell, and taste, while also gaining the basic skills to describe wines accurately, and make food and wine pairings. Upon successful completion you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin.

WSET Level 2 Award in Wines

This qualification is intended for beginners wishing to learn about a wide range of wines or those seeking to build on the introductory knowledge gained with the WSET Level 1 Award in Wines. You’ll gain knowledge of the principal and regionally important grape varieties of the world, the regions in which they are grown, and the styles of wine they produce. Through a combination of tasting and theory, you’ll explore the factors that impact style and quality and learn how to describe these wines with confidence.

What you'll learn

  • How to taste and describe wine using the WSET Level 2 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine®(SAT)
  • How environmental factors, grape-growing, winemaking and maturation options influence the style and quality of wines made from eight principal grape varieties:
    • Chardonnay

The Barossa Wine School, launched in 2013 by the Barossa Grape & Wine Association, is a comprehensive wine education program that enhances students’ understanding of Barossa history, viticulture, winemaking and wine styles. Designed for enthusiastic wine drinkers, wine trade, media and educators, over 1,000 people have successfully completed the introductory level with many of these going onto complete the higher levels.
